Selangor thump Terengganu

SELANGOR ran riot in Petaling Jaya yesterday when they handed Terengganu a 6-1 mauling as champions Kelantan lost ground in the Super League title race to leaders Singapore's LionsXII.
Norfarhan Muhammad's 81st-minute equaliser saw Kelantan scrape a 1-1 draw with Sarawak in Kuching after Guy Bwele's free-kick had given the hosts the lead in the 13th minute.
LionsXII extended their lead to three points thanks to Khairul Nizam Mohammad's effort in the 41st minute for a 1-0 win over Johor FC in Pasir Gudang while Perak ended a five-game winless run after a 2-1 win over bottom-side Kuala Lumpur in Ipoh with Fahrul Razi Kamaruddin (41st) and Rafiuddin Rodin (63rd) on target before Emmanuel Okine scored a consolation in stoppage time.
But Selangor grabbed all the attention as they moved up to fourth place, recovering from a 10th-minute strike by Ismail Faruqi Ashari from Ashaari Samsudin's fine cut-back.
Amri Yahyah scored twice in the 38th and 81st minutes for his first Super League goals this season after Bosko Balaban had brought Selangor level in the 25th minute after Muslim Ahmad's poor clearance allowed Fitri Shazwan Raduan to set up the Croatian.
Solihin Kanesian then scored the go-ahead goal in the 36th minute with an excellent left-foot effort before setting up Amri for the third two minutes later following an error by goalkeeper Sharbinee Allawee Ramli.
Safiq Rahim volleyed in Amri's cross in stoppage time for a 4-1 half-time lead before Amri scored in the 81st minute and Famirul Asraf Sayuti, on the rebound after R. Surendren hit the post in the 87th minute, completed Terengganu's misery. Source NST
